Ponchy was a game opponent. Also they had awesome fan support. Zachary D stepped up in the 2nd half and the O made just enough plays. Some other 5A schools could learn a thing or two about losing with class from the Green Wave.

Congrats to Zachary a great game by a great team. Way to many missed opportunities by our boys. Hard to overcome being inside the 20 3 times and getting no points and missing a couple wide open shots. Especially the one on the opening drive. Even with all of the missed chances we were still within 8 points. IMO what made the difference was Zachary's front 7. They absolutely ate Johnson up, he had no chance. We had zero rushing game. But I am so proud of our boys. despite the missed opportunities they never hung their heads and quit. They kept fighting all the way till the end. A lot of people doubted Ponchatoula but I don't think they do now. Respect was earned. But I sure wish we could have scored on them 3 drives to see if the game might have went different.

Thanks, yeah it is disappointing to not win, but are damn proud of our boys and the season they had. I have seen several references to petitions? most in regards to West Monroe? Is that real did that happen and what was the situation?

Well can't really speak on him, but as far as WM. Looking at it from afar it would appear that they just came back to earth some far as talent. I can only hope we can stay at the level they are at now. The talent we have had the last couple years doesn't come around here often. Now with Hank retiring, I hope we can get a good young coach to keep the program strong.
