Woody is an overrated as hell AD, but really had no choice but to fire Wade.

I mean, he is great at spending obscene amounts of other people’s money to try and catch big fish.

A “great GM” doesn’t pay a $17 million buyout and severely damage a top recruiting class in the FB coaching change to a coach that could have been fired with cause.

Woodward had 3 seasons with Wade and never once was Wade's job performance under question by Woodward. LSU's season this year was good as expected, maybe better and with the returning athletes with incoming recruits the basketball program looked extremely promising. Why would any AD fire a coach that is turning a program around.

The notice of allegations and evidence was overwhelming and showed complete ignorance with extremely sloppy practices, both embarrassing to LSU.

Most fans support the decision by Woodward, only small % of TD posters have trouble understanding

Wade had double digit losses in 80% of his seasons.
According to 247, he had an average recruiting ranking of 13 over his 5 years.

I will never, ever, even understand why people think this. This team was not anything special, 9-9 in conference play. Yeah, had a stretch of injuries but this still wasn't a go on a deep run type of team.

He would’ve lost an even bigger percentage of the fan base if he didn’t fire Wade

It like most decisions was a combination of things. The two most likely are it was to protect football thanks to Les, Ed and Verge. And it allowed Scott away to get his own coach in. It probably also served to make Tate feel like daddy by firing the mean man wade.

We can just face it the real story of what infractions would have been if we kept wade will never come out. It will be a real bad look though if we get hammered anyways.

My main issue is I’m tired of LSU being the one willing to spread its cheeks for the ncaa while auburn and Kansas spit at them.

You could try harder to understand. It’s really not hard to figure out:

LSU’s best scorer tore his ACL before the season and the recruiting class coming in was top 5 or so. Also minimal losses to graduation or the draft.

We gave the NCAA teeth to a toothless letter. Everyone is except us gives the toothless bastards the finger, and we wonder why our expenditures don’t pan out dollar for dollar . . .

Untrue, I like Kelly he appears to be doing good things.

I’m wait and see on Matt and he can have a fair shot, so we will see what he can do.

I like jay johnson.

I have no problem with Kim.

Seems my main issue is woody isn’t the AD he was billed to be. He hasn’t done anything good fan related, he doesn’t look like a fighter and our NIL game is sad. I wanted woody to be great, I was excited for him to come in but he isn’t the best AD he is more middle of the road at best.

This one.

Anyone who thinks this was just some power move is an idiot.

Will Wade is a good coach. He won’t be employed next year despite that. The next time he is employed he will be at a mid major.

That is outside perspective on His employability.

Also, what do you think Wade told Woody about the whole extortion payments from his wife’s bank account?

You think he was upfront about that early in or do you think he just hoped it wouldn’t come up? At some point Woody had to have asked him if there was anything else out there. So there is a high likelihood Wadenjust fricking lied to his boss.

Wade cheated, and the way he went about making payments was incredibly stupid. He deserved to be fired.

How’s that Jayhawks football team looking these days? Football is the cash cow at LSU … always has been, always will be.

L. O. L. I’ll tell you what happened. Tate called Woodward in and said “It’s Wade or you. Choose wisely.” Wade gone.

Maybe but not for long. He's only what, 37 or 38? He'll be winning a lot of games at a big time program very soon.
