Switching to soups a couple days before makes it much easier. The Suprep is a much better experience than the colyte was. Pro tip: You want wet wipes for the round 2.

Man, Clenpiq is the only prep I want to do, two little bottles, tastes like cranberry and you can mix it with apple juice.

It’s the BEST!!!

It's worth it. They found pre-cancerous stuff in my colon. Much better to take it out at that stage than to find out the harder way later

Drinking the Suprep was not that big of a deal as everyone made it out to be. Mix it with Crystal light or Gatorade and drink it down. Most of us drank worse in college
What sucks is staying at home for hours continuously going to the bathroom for liquid discharge. The procedure is so easy and quick. The positives FAR outweigh any negative for those of you hesitant.

I had one about 2 months ago. I feel your pain.

It’s better than the alternative my old high school buddy is facing at the moment. He had surgery to remove colon cancer. He’s having hell in the aftermath with complications.

And yes, the young guys have it good.

My doctor had me do the Miralax pills and dulcolax pills prep and it went extremely smooth.

Pretty much the same for mine. Miralax powder mixed in blue Powerade with dulcolax tablets. Made some blue Jell-O to eat throughout the day

I had my first at 49 because of symptoms (GI suspected Crohns, thankfully he was right) so prep was nothing out of the ordinary. Anesthesist saw I was nervous and he said you’ll love the nap. I’m on a every three year rotation and look forward to my next one. An evening of the shits is worth the propofol.

I had my first colonoscopy and endoscopy a few years ago in my early 30s. Honestly it wasn't that bad. The prepping was the worst part. The procedure itself was a breeze

Doing this in 2 weeks and I'm already dreading it

Doing mine one week from today. 3rd one. On the last one, I didn’t nearly finish the last few ounces of the liquid.. It is really overkill. I was plenty clean after the first bottle.

Have you tried running for a while then drinking a bunch of red wine?

For those who detest doing the colonoscopy, there is the FIT test that just requires a stool sample....

your doctor can have the procedure coded so that your insurance will pay for it and all you'll pay is the +/-$400 co-pay

I'll ask him to do that if I go back to him. All he said last time I went and he wanted to do it was "you have insurance..." When I asked specifics he said it'll be my deductible plus the anesthesiologist and facility fees so I'm thinking an easy $4k+ unless he throws me a bone and codes it like you're saying

December 21 had a scheduled colonoscopy. Found a precancerous polyp
Had surgery to remove my right side colon (14 inches )
Incision from right below rib cage to below my navel. In hospital for 5 days. Took 2 months before I started feeling better.
Have to have another colonoscopy this year too. Not looking forward to it.

But just think you get the twilight sleep and then you can eat a gut buster. And your colon will be cleansed.

What’s your obsession with dumb a&m gay jokes? It’s requisite banter on tRant, but you take it to the extreme. Like it’s your life’s mission or something.

A bidet would be your friend!

I used to say 'baby wipes', now I recommend a bidet.

I have a colonoscopy every 3 year because they have found polyps. It is not pleasant to go through the prep, but its not in the league with some other misery docs have put me through. I don't get all the anxiety, it's not a big deal, and you get to pig out at Waffle House after.
