They just started holding some of my check deposits for 2-4 days. In the past they were available the next day. Here's what they say:

"After thoroughly reviewing the deposit(s) and your account, we've determinded there's a risk that the deposit will return.

To protect you, we've delayed the availability of all or part of your $$$ until..."

I'm furious with this new policy. "A risk your deposit will return?" I've been depositing these monthly check for years.

Capital One frustrating anyone else?

I think McDonald's and Capital One are having issues with each other. Are the other cashiers having issues with their paychecks at their banks?

Their new ads basically say they are a coffee shop and if you have a banking issue they guess they can try to help you

Personal checks from tenants. They have the same accounts for years. Never a problem with NSF.

We just went through a whole ordeal with capital one. From having to freeze our joint checking, to wife has too many (3) accounts so we can't put her on new joint checking, to we're holding your paycheck for up to 7 business days... As the poster above said, CHANGE BANKS and don't look back.

Good Luck

I feel like most banks put a hold on personal checks, but if this is a recent policy change for you, I agree that it's annoying.

I can set you up to recieve ACH payments or a combination of payments.
Problem solved. Here's the deal, they want every person alive to stop using paper checks. Digital money is here already

I don’t think Cap One wants to be in the personal banking business. They’re doing everything they can to chase off their remaining customers.

I think this Capital One spokesperson-

And this Chevy spokesperson (note I refer to neither of them as “men”):

Met each other whilst matriculating* at Texas A&M.

Yep, and if you try to digitally deposit checks as capital One claims they want you to do, there is a
Limit on the amount you can deposit. So if
You have $12,000+ In checks to deposit, you’re SOL. frick Cap One. They suck donkey dicks and swallow if you’re a small business owner.
