Danny Wuerfful edges out Mike Buck. Buck had one season with the colts that disqualifies him

Deuce was a better player than Colston, but Colston is the answer. Colston had the longer, more impactful career. Hopefully we get to say Cam Jordan in a few years.

I really think its Cam. I dont see Cam playing for any other team and he is having a HOF career. He will be in Canton.

Have to add Deuce to this for validity

Love Deuce to death, just seems like Jordan and Colston had more longevity at a high level. Deuce fell off pretty quick after the 06 season IIRC.

And I will forever remember the move he put on Jeremiah Trotter in the divisional round. Shook that man out of his shoes.

Jordan, Peat, Ramczyk, Kamara and Lattimore would be at or near the top if they can make it.

Name the Saints guards who had better and longer careers than Peat.

Evans
Dumbo
?????

Brad Edelman? Wally Williams? Was Carl Nicks here and in the starting lineup long enough?

This thread truly shows how little some people know about former Saints players, the Saints as a franchise, and the NFL in general.

The topic was greatest Saints who only played for the Saints. Andrus Peat should be mentioned in that discussion precisely 0 times.

As far as guard position only? I don’t really have a historical list of average Saints guards, but that’s about where Peat would fall. Length of career doesn’t matter if you’re barely average.

Carl Nicks was here 4 years and made a First Team and Second team all-pro in consecutive years. So yeah his body of work with the Saints blows Peat’s out of the water.

The answer is Cam Jordan. Dude literally is never hurt. He has piled up a ton of sacks in his career. He’s elite against the run. His number should be retired when he does retire.
