Kelly seems to realize that top athletes have to have the best character and discipline possible to reach their peak performance and I agree.

What the OP fails to realize is that Coach Brian Kelly is not just preparing these young men for a Saturday football game, but also for the game called life. Of the 85 players dressed out how many will be playing on a Sunday, and for how many years? The few that make it to the NFL and become super stars are few and far between. They need to be molded into men of character to be successful after their playing days are done.

I mean do you do any research before saying this stuff or do you just have word vomit?

Another thing, there have been 2 words that have defined his stay at LSU the last few months. One is alignment
Do you know what the other is?
ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!!! Which is what you think he’s not gunna have based on something you misunderstood during the rotary meeting. Like Jesus Christ man. You can’t be serious

I didn't vomit I conveyed a thought of what he said. You may want to ask why you are so much in a huff that you would bring Our Lord into your created frustration. I am very glad I wrote this and people who were kind enough to provide counter points have persuaded me into some hope for Coach Kelly. I was really concerned and now not as much!

So this board can't make an argument for or against this topic? Guys we are talking highschool English! Is the dumbing down of our education worst than we orginally thought?

I understand every word you used in your post, but there wasn't one single coherent thought in that entire dialogue. There's nothing to respond to, agree with or debate because you weren't saying anything that made sense.

I grew up with a friend that was basically an idiot, but he tried to over compensate for this by using big words in every sentence. Problem was he never used them correctly, so it was obvious he had no idea what they meant. He would regularly go into random long-winded jabbing and jawing, but was never really saying anything.

His initials also happened to be RM, so now I'm wondering if maybe you're him.

You are the absolute worst type of people that exist in this world. You are no different than the people you claim to hate so much.

You turned something a person said into political bullshite, even though there wasn't a single political element to the speech.

Then you start complaining about people slinging insults, while throwing out insults yourself.

You are a hypocritical piece of shite.

The absolute worst type. Hmm better read what you wrote again! And again, and again! Oh BtW I never mentioned the word hate but now that you bring it up, yes I hate liberal democrats and believe that are treasonist and need to be held accountable for thier all if their treasonist acts. No, I didn't assault or insult anyone but made points to what they were saying. This board has become so vitriolic for so many kids and if you are not one of them I can only suggest you to read what you wrote!

BTW I played College football till I was injured.

Was the injury a head injury?

Have you listened to any other interview or speech Kelly gave since becoming coach beside the Rotary Club.

It seems you took one line about "Being demanding not demeaning" and have formed an incorrect analysis of his 30 years of coaching. The man hasn't even coached an LSU game yet you got it all figured out from one passing line of a speech.

I suggest you go and listen to more of the interviews he did this summer and at SEC media days and then try to reform your opinion. Also you might benefit listening to all the interviews Culotta has done with the assistant coaches this summer. You could stand to learn some things about the men leading this team and the direction the team is heading.

My first suggestion is to go on YouTube and listen to the Jordy Culotta interview with Brad Davis the O line coach. If that doesn't ease your fear I don't know what to tell you. The oline and the team will develop into strong champions with the leadership of Kelly's staff.

A sure tell is libs can't help themselves from insulting instead of debating! Because they can't!

LMAO...

1. apparently you have never been to the political board because you would have never used the word lib when referring to me...

2. I did not insult you, I described how you were acting, so that tells me you also can't distinguish the difference from an insult and a description...

3. There was nothing to debate...you made a post crying about you don't like the way he is doing things without even waiting till after the season to see what the first year results are, if anything its you that is acting like a liberal which I'm firmly believe you are now since libs are notorious with projection unto others of what they actually are...

He had them work outside in the southern Louisiana weather, no matter the conditions. Is that not old school enough? I remember recent coaches having lots of indoor practices and how that had an affect on their conditioning throughout the season. This coach is making them work through those things because he knows they’ll be better for it during the season.

Kelly is demanding it all. Accountability from all players on and off the field. Building men not boys. Making them work through all those things that are not easy for boys to work through to become a man. This will benefit our team over time and even this season.

There’s no one path to success. Just look at Saban, Miles, O.

If you’ve had experience leading people, you should know the value of positive framing and communicating a vision. You can accomplish everything you think is important through those same avenues.

I've been waiting for that reply. Remember, I said consistant winning coach and Sabin is the only one that fits that category and he can be fitted in the modes of Lombardi, Bryant, Bowden and the like. Which serves my point very well, can you see Sabin talk about positive coaching? Lombardi? Bryant? Etc.?

Heck, there is only one coach I admired for positive coaching and although he is the only NFL coach with a decade of 12-4 seasons he only has one championship. Trivia: do you know him?

Yes, It's important to convey the virtues of good habits fulfilled throughout the day, daily. The staff above and below is unison and in place to accomplished high expectations of fun outcomes on Saturday nights at LSU. However, is it the job of a head coach to instill character in players? Moreover, what is with the PC code speak of "positive coaching" as if anything else is automatically construed as demeaning players. I hope Coach Kellie isn't virtue signaling here like I am with the spelling of his name. We make no apoloigies for our cautionary curiosities in our preseason speech. Quite frankly, we have become jaded and need to hear what really makes a winning team and not the liberal cliches from those doctrines. We understand one thing it produces, snowflakes and that doesn't prepare a team for the gridiron battlefield. How about talking from the head coaches who have had championships consistently over time? Conveying words of accountability not building character. Holding your athletes to account for every cell in their bodies focused on any given assignment at hand. A level set and targeted far beyond their own comprehension. Knowing all along by having such impossible high standards the consequences weed out the weak minded liken the sparks flying out from the head coach's sweated arm hammering on an anvil forging out his indestructible leaders whose only sole purpose is to demostrate how the strong survive to the rest of their teamates! Is that too old school? Shut up, we should be grateful with our NIL players in hope not to loose them with such harsh demeaning words. After all they have mothers too! I prefer men forged from a mallet off an avial than positive coached-up talented boys when going into battle. But hey, what do I know, maybe my decades of hearing preseason speeches from wining and losing Head coaches is premature. Heck, maybe this isn't anything and it's OK we're ranked 5th in the SEC-W and it will all turn out great.

You Obviously have some real issues and seem like an awful person to be around. You should leave it up to the coaches and get back on your medications. PC and Professionalism is what the program needed. We tried using the inbred bayou method and it led to the total destruction of the program. FML we have some seriously ignorant fans.

So far no real thoughts just insults. Is that what LSU is teaching these days? If you don't like it or too lazy to debate it just name call! Right out of the liberal playbook

I gave you a legitimate reply and you responded with “no real thoughts just insults”. Posting a long, rambling, incoherent, emotional piece about why you don’t like BK because you overanalyzed the shite out of one comment he made isn’t worthy of legitimate discussion anyway

Based on the way you post with the exclamation marks, you’re in your 50s - 60s and share a bunch of bullshite on Facebook that you see as fact. No one agrees with your stupid hot take. Go away loser
