one of the best parts of eating lunch at waterfront besides feeding the turtles was watching the NLU coeds practice that jump

Spicer murder

Interestingly enough, I was close to this. I sat and talked to Irvin during halftime at the NLU game right after he killed Spicer. I knew him from being around Ewing all the time. I was a ball boy for many of the games. I had no idea at the time(I was like 12), but I was conversating with a freshly minted murderer. Had to talk to the cops and everything.

you and i graduated in 84 and after starting at lsu i never went back home so its been awhile

just go to visit the family now but the memories growing up last a lifetime. its definitely not the same. T&C is so sad every time i visit. the pharmacy was still there the last time i was in town..you could make a clean spot on the window and look inside and still see the L'Eggs display from the 1970s inside.

how about you? i'm lol-ing that i wild guessed who you are based just on the street name you gave me.

boy we had some fun times riding our bikes in the woods around T&C & behind Jack Hayes and playing in the bayou.

Happened to drive by the pharmacy a few minutes ago and its about to fall in on itself. The school looks ok but T&C is a dump pretty much. The state put a good chunk of $ redoing Osterland Rec though. Really nice facility

Moved to Dallas, was there for 20 years or so.
Back to Monroe and now in the BR area.

You were a huge mystery in here. Didnt see you on an LSU sports/etc page.

But not to highjack the thread......glad someone said Edge for the bar on 19th.

Always wondered what that was called for a while.

Wonder how many people had their first police harassment experience trying to drive through the park. They were getting pretty cranky by the time I graduated St. Fred’s 87.

It’s sad that everyone I know is gone. This thread is uniting the Diaspora. Well done and Cheers!!!

Spicer murder

What is the back story on this murder? I didn't move there until 88 and I don't remember hearing about his one. I was also really young when we moved there.

Brenda Spicer was a womens Basketball player for NLU. Her body was found in a dumpster near the psych building on campus in 1987.

The investigation centered on Ivrin Bolden, Jr., the boyfriend of another Lady Indian, Joel Tillis. Allegedly Tillis and Spicer had an affair and Bolden killed Spicer out of jealousy.

Tillis testified that Bolden was with her resulting in his acquittal.

Tillis was found murdered in Ark in 1989.

Must know you. I would have been a freshman I believe your junior/senior year at St. Fred’s.
