I forgot about the Angus Chemical explosion.

Then, that makes me remember when the Tennessee Gas Pipeline exploded in West Monroe in Summer 1993. The line ruptured just North of the pump station in West Monroe, next to Darbonne Hills subdivision. There were reports the flame could be seen from I-20 bridge over the Oachita River.

My friends father was working that night/day when it happened, pipe came straight through his cpu monitor. He used to keep a picture of it to show people.

My dad use to work at that plant and luckily he didn't have to be there that day. A girl in my HS class, her dad died as a result of that explosion.

Yes, I still give that number out whenever I don't want to give out my real number.
Can anyone confirm if it's still the number for Time & Temp?

The kicker on the Angus/IMC explosion was that it supposedly could have been much worse. There were apparently a couple of huge underground tanks storing nitro-methane that didn't ignite for whatever reason. Had they done so, it is my understanding that the town of Sterlington would now be a lake.

We were always told it was one of only two places in the world (other one is in Germany) that produces/stored some top secret shite used by all the global governments/military.

At the time we were "" at war"" in Afghanistan so for a few seconds I thought maybe they got bombed.

And yes.... Total destruction and 100s injured and 8 people dead was labeled a very minor incident!
