You realize that the goal of the game is to win, right? It's not about your personal statistics. LSU broke a championship scoring record by scoring 102 on 64% shooting from 3 (and outrebounded Iowa by 11) on their way to a 17-point blowout win for the national championship. I don't care for the trash talking, but LSU played an extremely shite-talk-worthy game.

Actually, you said their plan was to let her get hers, which they clearly did not do. They did everything they could to slow her down and played her incredibly physical. Big difference between letting someone do something and not being able to do anything about it.
LSU shot lights out. Banked in multiple wing 3s. Props to them. Graphic during the game said it was their best shooting percentage outside the paint all tournament, by 3 multiples — just how the coaches drew it up.

Its one thing to talk shite during the game but to run down the player and to keep doing a gesture is a little over the top. The game was over take your win and move on. Reese was out of line for it. I dont think she should be getting as much heat as she is but she was still in the wrong.

Again, I’m just saying it’s dumb to trash talk someone who just completed an historic performance by hanging 30 and 8 on you with an absolutely inferior roster.
Makes no sense to me. Yeah they won the game, but I’d think they’d go trash talk all the scrubs that they walked all over, not the one who led the game and tournament in scoring who LSU couldn’t stop.

Nobody is trashing Clark. Seems like most are trashing Reese for simply giving Clark a dose of her own medicine. As others have said, you go ahead and celebrate Clark's stats. We'll celebrate the NC win.

I’m talking about Reese. It makes no sense why you would trash talk a player that just scored 30 on you. Go trash talk all the bums that couldn’t keep up, not the one that you couldn’t stop.

A great coaching move by Mulkey today was her calling a very early TO immedatley after Clark hit her first three pointer. It was genius. Kept everything quiet. Iowa fans couldnt get loud yet. And Clark couldnt get on a run. Just brilliant.
