Have you had to replace the rocker arms on that rig yet?

Yes, and the transmission twice. Luckily all still under warranty. I knew it was the rocker arms and the guy at the dealership was like, I dont think these Jeeps had the problems with them. Im assuming because the problems were initially with what ever dodge/jeep/shiat had the 3.6s in, but it was the rocker arms.

New battery last year, it's on its 3rd battery.

Take it somewhere and have the battery load tested….they will,do it free at Autozone…have them test the alternator while they are at it.

Ended up being the key fob button contacts

Take the battery out of the fob and lock/unlock the door manually for a day or two. If the autolock thing stops then it's the fob.

There’s a distinct ticking sound that comes from the engine compartment. Upon revving the engine the ticking sound increases it’s about a $4000-$5000 repair cost to replace all the rocker arms and gaskets. I had it done on my wife’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I purchased an extended warranty outside of the dealership and it covered everything except a $100 deductible.

I changed the battery too but it was obvious what the problem was when I took the fob apart to change the battery. Tried gluing the buttons back in place but it didn’t last long.

Jeeps are known for having 4-5 times as many “grounds” in their electrical system as other brands.

Shorts and electrical issues are common because of all the room for error. Think of a Christmas tree with 1000 bulbs and if one goes out or shorts it effects the whole tree.
