Crystal clear water and beautiful scenery along with more pleasure boats than you can imagine.in July there are lots of big stripers and walleye in the area and the dam will be generating and releasing water from about 10 till dark.i find the fish almost impossible to catch during the day in summer because of the clarity and pressure.to the south of you where it widens out in the afternoon you will see large schools of stripers busting in the afternoon that are virtually impossible to get to bite ..smart fish that have things figured out..boats galore stop and throw at them and rarely get a bite ..I have found that slow trolling rapalas far behind theboat right at dark and the first 2 hours after to be their weakness and 1 or 2 may fall for it up to around 30lbs..catch the walleyes exactly the same way..caught a few limits last summer and some over 10lbs...if you have access to a dock with lights that can also be good ..during the day on a weekend forget it
