About 95% of everyone here does not understand that Bitcoin will outperform any investment just has it has done in the last 10 years.

I will challenge anyone here to pick a better one.

We can escrow $500 - $2,000 and compare on May 5, 2025.

Who wants to play?

I will formally challenge Big_Sur because I know him personally and he is one of the largest Bitcoin haters here.

However, the challenge is open to anyone.

I’ve probably got 20k in BNB staked. Should I move it in Bitcoin?

Assuming you are talking about any investment outside of the crypto space, I will venture to say no one takes you up on the bet and actually escrows money towards it.

Because that is the time frame I have chosen.

Then why not use two years with your the comparison of Bitcoin to all other investments. It’s what, -50% give or take since early May 2021?

I’d take your bet and check the price of NVDA in May 2025. I don’t hate Bitcoin, but it is not going to outpace NVDA in the next two years.

I wouldn't put money in escrow to place a wager with a stranger on the internet.

But I do think there are specific examples of investments I've chosen that are less likely to go down and may have more upside over the next two years.

For example u.un or glatf

Why?
Why not just make a call?

A two-year bet, with an intervening election and likely recession, is obviously nothing more than a crapshoot.

But odds are that many/most up & comers like LMND, BILL, SNOW, or CV19 beatdown tickers (aka cruise lines) like NCLH will outperform BTC over that timeframe, with lower beta. Even with an intervening mild/moderate recession.

I'm not a BTC "hater" by any means. But its price drivers are opaque, at best, and so are wide open to manipulation (e.g. What was the cause of BTC's recent 75% drop). So I'm not an investor either.

First, let's see if you can explain why Bitcoin will be more valuable in 2 years than it is today.

Hilarious lol

I just finished up my public bet with Balaji, not sure I'm ready for another one yet. Will consider the terms but I've got a feeling this timeframe is US political based more than anything else.

Ok I Love Bama, having known you for around 25 years I don't think escrow is necessary and I'd only do this to support one of the NGOs I'm involved with.

Here are my proposed terms:

- May 5, 2025 we'll compare what $1k would've done since May 5, 2023 in Bitcoin vs S&P.

If the Bitcoin is higher, I'll donate $1k; if S&P is higher, you donate $1k.

I'd prefer the beneficiary be Friends of Crestwood Park, but I'd also be fine with Ventana Wildlife Society, Vitamin Angels or Operation:USA.

But if you prefer to continue your regular contributions to Girls Without Father Figures of Columbia, that is fine as well.

50% of your net worth

I may be mixing you up with someone else, but I think you may be the poster I recall did most of your Bitcoin purchasing in early 2017. If that's the case you didn't invest 50% of your net worth in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is about 30x higher since then so it was an intended consequence of being smart for being a Bitcoin HODLer.

Keep HODLing. Check out Michael Saylor in his latest 1 hour interview from a couple of days ago, explaining how Bitcoin is now unstoppable.
