Beam is right outside of town... Great spot

Angels Envy is downtown too

Pretty much everything else is a little drive. Go to Bardstown

Evan Williams seemed to have a cool set up. We wanted to do it, but it was booked up. Still went up to the bar and had some drinks, and hit the gift shop which had some unique bottles

Rabbit hole , angel envy , Evan Williams, and old forester are really good and in Louisville. But book a tour with bourbon boys or mint julep. They’ll bring you to 3 distilleries a day outside of Louisville. Heaven hill , makers mark , Williet , Buffalo and woodford are all pretty nice places

Heaven Hill in bardstown for me. Will be there in a month.

I enjoy Elijah Craig so it’s a no brainer for me.

I'm going next week. We have tours at BT, HH, MM, JB, WF and 4R. Never been, looking forward to it. I'll report back if anything stands out to do while up there.

I'd honestly recommend dropping a couple of the tours. It gets repetitive. Do 2-3 tours and then just hit up the tasting bars. Last summer I did tours at Old Forester, Lux Row, and Three Boys (now called Whiskey Thief, highly recommend).

Also booked lunch at Bardstown Bourbon Company. Good food and a great whiskey list to go along with their own stuff.

Just walked in and did the bar and gift shop thing at Woodford, Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, Old Fitzgerald, and Angels Envy. All of these were worth the stop except Angel's. Only went there because we were eating at a brewery just a block away and decided to pop in.

I'd recommend dropping 4 Roses from list. Tour was very underwhelming. The guide was basically just reciting a memorized script and the tasting afterwards included all readily available bourbons.

Wanted to bump, MM, JB and OF were great tours. Woodford, BT were ok and 4R was the weakest. Heaven Hill’s bottle your own was cool, you don’t get to see any of the distillery though.

If anyone has any questions, be glad to help out.
