Haven’t bought a new TV in a decade. I’m always shocked at how cheap they are now. Ive been happy with our Samsung, but I also like our cheap arse Insignia. Maybe it’s because I grew up watching grainy TV.

If you want longevity - Sony

If you want cheap and serviceable - Hisense

I have tvs that run 15 hours a day at work. I use Samsung, lg, and Sony. Sony is the most expensive but they have lasted the longest. The other two are not far behind but I have had more sun spots on samsung

What refresh rate do I need for live sports? My Samsung 65" 60Hz looks like shite when I watch football. When a pass is thrown downfield it looks weird. I assume that's because it needs a higher refresh rate? Would 120Hz work fine?

I’ve had a 55” JVC for three years. No complaints, great picture.

LG and Samsung are great TVs. The brands completely and absolutely suck at everything else they try to make though.

LG makes great tvs, and they maintain their own custom operating system for them.

Can't really go wrong with Vizio. I have a 65" and it's decent enough for me and it was cheap as hell brand bew from Walmart

However, their remote control fricking sucks. Luckily, I have xfinity remote control and don't ever have to use the Vizio TV remote but for the price I paid for the TV, I felt like I got a hell of a good deal with decent quality picture - I did not say that it is the best 15k picture quality ever.

But for me, I am happy with the qulity. it's nice and crisp looking and the colors pop. That's all I need (especially for the price point)
