Last day to renew iKon pass with the $100 discount fyi

Good looking out. I renewed yesterday.

Season 25, Day 24:

I upgraded from base to full Ikon for the upcoming season because yesterday when I scanned in at Snowbasin (recently added to Ikon) my Ikon base wasn’t enough. Snowbasin requires full Ikon pass.

Luckily the lift operator, Mrs Joanne Schiff, felt sorry for my unprepared arse and used her employee discount buddy pass for me, saving me $66. So I was able to ride with friends from 1030 to 2 pm for $20.

Shout out Mrs Schiff!

Snowbasin is a mellow place. The layout of the mountain is pretty straightforward and it has all the feels of a local hill. Cool place. Worth checking out. Very comparable to Powder Mountain in the area.

Beware, the lifts at Snowbasin do close at 2pm sharp though.

Spring conditions yesterday. Variable at best. But bluebird days are always a blast and thank God for snowboarding.

Got mine. But unless they are just slow to update the site, the price did not change. Sneaky advertising.

You can do the base plus. Which is only slightly less than the full, but 5 days instead of 7 everywhere. That's what I went with.

Good to hear. I have some exciting news....

I'll be moving to Ogden next month, so this will be the closest to me. Can't wait for my first season as a Utah local

Snowbird UT
Spring Conditions.

Half the mountain is essentially closed for the season due to the renovation of the Wilbere lift. All Gad zones are closed for the rest of season. Peruvian to Mineral all open.

Yesterday took a lot of work finding anything worth mentioning. Cirque Traverse was still open so I dropped Great Scott a few times or whatever chute that is adjacent to it. Best snow I found all day. Snowbird did open some chutes that never get opened, Powerline or something like that. 1.5 hour hike to the drop. No way was I doing that in what felt like 50 degree weather.

I think Pikachu was throwing a twisted tea my way.
