If Canada is an option I would look at Banff, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise would offer a lot to exlore and the town of Banff is awesome. Shuttles/busses everywhere so you don't need a car and the exchange rate is awesome.
If you are looking at the US only, I think Big Sky offers more than Jackson, especially if you like tree skiing. Some of my favorite tree runs are on the Moonlight side of Big Sky and other parts of the mountain also have some great trees.

Looking back at the season I had my most ever ski days with 35, over 650k feet of vertical. 6 powder days that had over a foot of snow, biggest day was 20 inches at Deer Valley.
Had a two epic trips, one in SLC where I caught a crazy storm cycle that just kept bringing powder day after day...50-60 inches total over six days. The other trip was in Colorado where I skied a loop of Winter Park-Steamboat-Copper-ABasin, had a big powder day at Winter Park and also got to ski a day with Cuse and Hogwall at Copper.
Already planning some trips for next season and very jealous of anyone shredding some of the May powder.
