i'll give it a shot. i think one of the main problems are "arena shooters" in general. it's a played out genre. but how do you revise it and make it fresh?

by doing the opposite of everything COD has done with Multiplayer in the last 5 years. That’s where I’d start.

- drastically cutting SBMM back
- providing Ranked & UnRanked playlist
- providing the ability to turn Crossplay On/Off
- tuning weapons/gadgets/killstreaks for multiplayer, not battle royale
- fixing bugs when they become prevalent
- providing fresh map content that isn’t just reskins from previous titles or shrunk down bastardized assets from Warzone.

just to name a few things. that the OG COD players have been asking for, for years. I know you don’t believe an Arena shooter can survive, but i think battle royale fatigue is coming sooner or later. especially when the product is as bad as Warzone 2.0

quote:

This is the kind of game where I just don't think you can tell by gameplay footage alone how much longevity it will have.

i never spoke to this games potential longevity. I merely said I hope it’s a true FPS 6v6 Arena shooter, whereas COD no longer is. Seeing how ALL of their development efforts go towards Warzone and DMZ. Everything else is an after thought for them.

Besides grinding for attachments and camos: what’s the point of the watered down COD 6v6 multiplayer?
