I'm just upset there's no Milazzo or Trav threads on the day that it would actually be a logical question since Skenes is starting.

He is shook and cant get out of it....wish he could flip ot today, he needs it. He is wayyyy too nervous.

If a switch occurs, only way is nipolt at 2nd and dugas move to short.

If we had a better option than Thompson, he would be starting.

Half of Wake Forest's lineup is hitting around that clip.
And their short stop sucked at throwing to 1st too!

Do them now!

He has helped with several double plays...and made several throws to first with mustard on them... if anything Dugas throwing like a girl is a bigger issue.

I'm okay with Thompson slumping...that's baseball... but Dugas playing with a nagging shoulder issue is a bigger liability.

I think Thompson is definitely due to have some timely hits and may just zero to hero tonight (would love to see it).

How is it an experiment if he has been the short stop all year?

He's talking about shifting he and Dugas when a lefty is at the plate b/c Thompson has struggled playing 2nd situationally.

Brad Cresse was 0 for the CWS, until he wasn't. JT is going to do something soon.

Only thing that sucks about getting this far is all the bandwagon morons who jump on board at this time of year that know nothing about baseball. Perfect example Chad504

You have people who post about the team all year wanting to have skenes ride the pine at the beginning of an elimination game in which as far as we know, he's available

While not bashing the young man, there are some facts/stats that is at least worth discussing...

Dugas: 4 total errs with a fielding % of .971
total RBI produced - 43...10.8 rbi/error made

Thompson: 14 total errs with a fielding % of .933
50 RBI produced...3.6 rbi/error made

I'd conclude that Dugas is much less of a liability.

So, while everyone is dumping on the OP for dumping on Thompson, the stats certainly show there is no reason to bring Dugas into the discussion. By the way, Gavin is 3rd on team with the most errors at 4 with White at second with 12...BUT, White is producing 8.2 runs for every error...MUCH less of a liability.

All that said, I pull for the Tigers always, all the time and pull for the young men wearing the jersey.
