He has helped with several double plays...and made several throws to first with mustard on them... if anything Dugas throwing like a girl is a bigger issue.

I'm okay with Thompson slumping...that's baseball... but Dugas playing with a nagging shoulder issue is a bigger liability.

I think Thompson is definitely due to have some timely hits and may just zero to hero tonight (would love to see it).

While not bashing the young man, there are some facts/stats that is at least worth discussing...

Dugas: 4 total errs with a fielding % of .971
total RBI produced - 43...10.8 rbi/error made

Thompson: 14 total errs with a fielding % of .933
50 RBI produced...3.6 rbi/error made

I'd conclude that Dugas is much less of a liability.

So, while everyone is dumping on the OP for dumping on Thompson, the stats certainly show there is no reason to bring Dugas into the discussion. By the way, Gavin is 3rd on team with the most errors at 4 with White at second with 12...BUT, White is producing 8.2 runs for every error...MUCH less of a liability.

All that said, I pull for the Tigers always, all the time and pull for the young men wearing the jersey.
