I remember when he was struggling in mid week games. For him to put up this type of postseason was impressive. He may not be the friday night guy, but I really think he will be an ace for us in 2024.

He had an amazing performance on the biggest stage in a winner take all situation. It doesn't get any bigger than that.

Hurd was always going to be the missing link even after that Mississippi State set back when they were trying to get him ready for the starting rotation again. LSU doesn’t win the national championship without him. Along with many others.

It was very impressive how our bullpen and really the entire pitching staff performed in the postseason. Especially in those two 11 inning games.
