Personally, I’ve been digging Rittenhouse BIB for my old fashions. Hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Early Times BiB or OGD BiB are also great 100 proofers to use.

But the very best OF in my opinion is:

2oz Woodford Double Oak
.5oz Organic Maple
A few dashes of bitters
Throw a cherry on if you'd like

Absolute delish.

First thing is you need a muddler

Get a highball glass out
In goes a half slice of orange, a cherry and some simple syrup.
Muddle.
You want to make sure you muddle the orange rind to release the orange oils and essence.
Add a couple or so dashes of bitters of your choice. I use both Peychaud and Angostura bitters.
Add ice and top with bourbon.

Stir and serve.

Try substituting Nocello for the sugar cube or simple syrup. Gives a very subtle walnut finish that’s very nice.

2 oz of your favorite bourbon (I like Woodford Reserve Double Oaked or Basil Hayden, among others)
1/4-1/2 oz Nocello
Cocoa bitters
1/2 walnut to soak up and enjoy at the end
1 Luxardo Maraschino cherry if you like

In a mixing glass combine:
2oz bourbon, I prefer an over-proofer (Stagg Jr or Old grandad 114)
1/2oz simple syrup
3 dashes angostura bitters
2 dashes orange bitters
1 dash cherry bitters
fill with ice

stir 20 times and strain into a rocks glass over a single large cube.

express a swath of orange peel over the glass and rub the rim.

Garnish with the orange swath and luxardo cherry.
