Happy ending in this situation or at least he's alive, depending on your view.
My mom and aunt made it to New Orleans and retrieved his phone. They went to the hotel and have made contact with him face to face.
That's all the information I have as of now.
Thank you everyone who took time out of their lives to help track him down. Our family truly appreciates it.
I will post a more detailed account of just what the hell he has been doing over the last 3 days when I can.
