I know the schools may desire this, but I doubt there’s many student athletes who would willingly take this route instead of getting paid and the ability to switch schools if their team’s/coach’s situation changes. Seems silly for an athlete to lock in in this type of manner.

Not that many athletes are cashing in on NIL money. It's feast or famine. What's inevitable is that the large markets will take over CFB, along with schools with guys like Phil Knight. It's going to be a small pool.

There are ways around NIL to still allocate funds to players so they aren't left out in the cold. But the NCAA has never wanted to use common sense.
