Yes. I might also add, as a 2A true believer, this is nothing to get worked up about.

Yep.

I haven’t read anything about this really. But hypothetically if one was to have one of these “ghost guns” would they now be in trouble for possessing said gun? As I understood before you only had to have them serialized if you were to transfer the weapon either as a gift or sale.

Sucks I have to agree with SFP, but I have no clue what most of the comments in this thread are about. ACB has been an excellent justice.

Because shutting down our rights temporarily is ok, right?
No. I disagree with it. Just explaining the decision and case posture.

I'm talking about the correct process to get lasting change, dickhead.
I'm sure you totally own the libs with cringe AF t-shirts and open carry rallies at your local coffee shop, but I've actually worked to make shite happen.

This is the right way to do it. It sucks, because I'd love for them to just stomp the frick out of all of these bat shite regulations, but that's not how we win.
They can do the opposite - shoot down the regulation until it is properly adjudicated in court. They don't have to allow it to stand and continue to be enforced. Then it gets destroyed in court and that's how the People actually win. Instead they will force the People to come up with the resources to hire a team of attorneys, rather than force the government to do it, even though the government already had them on the payroll.
Judiciary refuses to stand up for the Constitution and for freedom, which should be the default position, rather than defaulting to the government's desire to restrict rights and increase its own power. Our Judiciary is awful. I am constantly amazed at how backwards the Judiciary behaves. But, it's because almost all of them come from a background of working for and working on behalf of the government. They are incapable of seeing things in a different way.

The application for stay presented to Justice Alito and by him referred to the Court is granted. The June 30, 2023 order and July 5, 2023 judgment of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, case No. 4:22-cv-691, insofar as they vacate the final rule of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, 87 Fed. Reg. 24652 (April 26, 2022), are stayed pending the disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and disposition of a petition for a writ of certiorari, if such a writ is timely sought. Should certiorari be denied, this stay shall terminate automatically. In the event certiorari is granted, the stay shall terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court.
Justice Thomas, Justice Alito, Justice Gorsuch, and Justice Kavanaugh would deny the application for stay.

I remember when “come on down judge Amy Barrett” was a huuuugeee meme here.
What a disappointing this activist judge has been.
