She's an opportunist. She just picked the wrong side.

Didn’t Rush buy her bullshite hook line and sinker too? It was like one of the last things he did if I remember right. Sad that such an icon fell for it right at the end

This is the other angle.
She saw the economic opportunity of being a grifter and, instead of letting emotional thinking overtake her brain, she had greed do it.

Its just positioning. RUSH was an actor as much as a political mouthpiece.
The money and power attract bright people who then have to play stupid to communicate with the average American.
The average comprehension level in our country is between 7th and 8th grade. Pretty sad to think if youre able to read and comprehend on a 9th grade level, youre above average.

There's a much bigger story with respect to Sydney Powell related to misinformation and trust in people that couldn't be trusted
I think her issue is she didn't know wtf she was talking about and didn't care to learn.

Here's the classic interview she did on dominion/smartmatic. She got fact checked on nonsense she'd previously said and then quit the interview. Start at about 4:00.
There's lots more like this. I'm too lazy to pull it up, but the court filing from Dominion that describes her conduct in that matter should effectively be the end of her career even if she's not disbarred.
It shows that in making the allegations she made against them, she relied upon the psychic visions of a woman who claimed to be in touch with the ghost of Hugo Chavez.
The job of a lawyer is to be a professional evidence evaluator at all times. Being able to correctly judge the credibility of the evidence you have, and by extension the people who gave it to you, is crucial. From the moment a case starts they have to immediately think "how would a judge see this" but moreso, "is this reliable and valid evidence".
I think emotional thinking is certainly one way to put it. She's not actually stupid, she is a real lawyer who went to law school, passed the bar etc.
Perhaps the cult like atmosphere around trump was part of why she suddenly became unable to tell reality from information that was not just bullshite, but clearly and obviously bullshite that would've fallen apart had she bothered to think critically about it for even a second.

Yes, a simple man posting on a Politics board is wayyyyy smarter than an accomplished legal mind.
LOL, what a joke of an individual.

So are there more cult members it the Trump camp, Democrat Russian Collusion hoax or man made climate change? Which one do you fall into?

None of them.
I immediately called the Russian Collusion hoax as bullshite.
I told Trumpkins early and often their insanity was going to marginalize them and may be a conspiracy used to do this.
And climate change is crypto-Communism.
Most importantly, I didn't need others to tell me what to believe.

Good luck on ever getting them to admit that one. There is so much evidence on it being fake it can't be escaped. But, smartest most intelligent guys on the board.
You won't get them to concede that Trump was right on Ukraine and Biden either. But the evidence keeps mounting. Too smart to accept it.

You do realize I argued it was a hoax from the get go, right? I routinely argued with Decatur, Tigerdoc, BamaAtl, etc. about their true beliefs.

I find it terribly dishonest that people want to focus on Trumps election bullshite when we had 4 years of total Maoistic attack on "our democracy"
People see what they choose to see, the big picture be damned.

Powell's "gut reaction" (aka emotional reaction) was that the elections were fraudulent
No. Observation and analysis of numbers isn't emotional...even if it turns out to be wrong (I don't think it's wrong).
She ended up promoting wild explanations for these anomalies. How she ended up there is the story. I'm sorry, but I don't think emotional thinking explains that. She's too smart a person.
I'd bet that she was fed misinformation from people very close to her that she trusted very much. And, I'd bet this was intentional.

You don't get to file lawsuits b/c of some esoteric belief that a result was fraudulent.

we're back to legitimate evidence, of which she had none.
