If you get a moment, read the comments .... because I agree with a lot of them. I'll believe it when I see it.

I first read the book in the mid 80s and have read it several times since and cannot count how many times I've heard it is finally going-to-be made into a movie. Wasn't eight or nine years ago it was a done deal ... already in the production phase and then, nothing, crickets.

One of the comments that I do agree with ... It's too much book to be limited-to a movie. If they're going-to do it they need to make it into a limited series IMHO.

Wasn’t great but I blame that on the child actor they used for the son.

McCarthy dying right after a new adaptation was announced kind of adds to the lore of this project. His son is supposedly still gonna help produce.
