Agreed, I remember this when it happened, I was 22 with a 1-year-old in Lafayette in 1984. I think, again, that someone said to him take the deal so you can be home with Jody because he needs you. He may have walked with a jury but that is always a gamble.
This case kind of always stuck with me. I don't know Jody and I grew up in Lafayette, not BR but I feel like it was part of my life too because of all the coverage it got and empathizing looking at my 1 year old daughter.
BTW, you've kind of turned into one my favorite posters, in a non-creepy way

Umm no. There are multiple people saying that they would indeed commit murder if they were the father. Not that they would want to kill these guys, but that they actually would do it. Which we obviously know is complete bullshite

Yeah. I get all that. I was 9 or 10 at the time and saw the coverage on tv when my parents were at work. I remember thinking his dad was a hero but, as an adult, I’m glad he took the deal to be with Jody.
And thanks! I’ve always been kinda partial to your posts bc a woman moved here briefly from Lafayette with the first initial M and the last name Domingue. She was on my tennis team and we love her. Sadly, she left to move back to Laffy after only a year.

Seems like this might be Hillar Moore firing back at the defense team for leaking those other videos. He gets a gag order from the judge and then drops the “they finna rape her” video in a bail hearing.
This does confirm that there are multiple cell phone videos at the time of the alleged rape (as many people have speculated). I thought this was interesting as well:

If this is true and she said this, then I do not think it is rape. Don't care if anyone upvotes, downvotes. If she indeed ran to the car to catch up with them, then that adds to it.
The video of a guy saying "they gonna rape her" is not her saying that. That's a 3rd party saying that. That's not as big of evidence as her running down a car and saying "you're gay for not wanting to run a train on me"
People on here want them to get arrested bc they're 3 out of 4 black, and she is white. Judge the evidence, not the color of the people.

There's no racial component to this story. The driver of the rapemobile is white and I think this whole board would support him being strung up first. He was the one that had the most opportunities to stop this girl's ultimate demise.
