Will be in Napa at end of October for a few days. Haven’t been there in many years, looking for good advice. Please recommend a few restaurants in a variety of price ranges(where we could get reservations with 6 wks notice) Open to any cuisine and style. Thanks mucho

Press for high end dining is very good

Bouchon if you want approachable Thomas Keller, still expensive but not has crazy as some of his other places.

Gott's Roadside for lunch

So many wineries to choose from, and honestly the tasting fees have gotten totally out of control in Napa, but lots of places to go. Chateau Montelena has a beautiful grounds.

We did a tasting/tour at Del Dotto vineyards and thoroughly enjoyed it

Ate lunch at Bouchon, my wife sweet talked the host into getting us a table without a reservation. Excellent food.

Another vote for Bouchon. Or if you want an even cheaper Thomas Keller option, you could always do Ad Hoc.

Have had good meals at Brix, Mustards Grill, Bistro Jeanty and Bogetta.

Not an in depth review but I enjoyed Mustards for lunch. Bounty Hunter BBQ was also good.

It is hard to go wrong in the 10-mile stretch between Napa and Yountville. It is hard for a place to exist long if it isn't good.

If you want a meal to take with you Addendum is another Keller "restaurant" that serves box lunches. The fried chicken is excellent, it is just a small "shack" that sits in the back of Ad Hoc.

Another Keller option is La Calenda which is a departure for him and has excellent Oaxacan cuisine.

My 2 cents.
No need to go to Napa the city. Lots of restaurants sure but I always prefer St Helena, Calistoga, Yountville, etc.

Food: Press, charter oak, gotts, oakville grocery, Brasswood.

Wineries: I will break them down to the ones I would go again and ones to forget.

Go again- outpost, Quintessa, opus one, Aonair, Taylor family, Isley family, rivers Marie, Jarvis, Paul Hobbs (Sonoma), three sticks (Sonoma), Frank family (if you have a good host), Schramsberg

So so- Orin swift, stag’s leap cellars

No need to go back- Jospeh Phelps, Cakebread, inglenook, Patz & hall (Sonoma), caymus
