He cants throw over the top of defenders on slants and fades. It’s what essentially knocked out Nabors in game one. Looked like that’s what was designed on the Lacy TD last night and threw it right at him, just like when he kept hitting defender’s back in game 1. That would’ve been a pick and possibly 6 against competent defense. Last night didn’t give me any relief as the main play seemed to be having our receivers out athlete an obviously less athletic team

He made a lot of bad throws last night. I can think of 1-2 throws that were actually close to defenders that were completions.

Nuss threw a real nice pass for 29 yards to Nabers. You know Nabers is a bit frustrated having JD.

If you’re panicking after 6 drives 6 TDs you have issues. JD played fine. Every throw won’t be perfect.

Worry about that soft arse defense making Milroe look like a heisman candidate

Lmao the one wide open pass to Nabers? It’s weird you didn’t mention the pass behind the running back from Nuss. Blind to it, I guess

So is "he can't throw a deep ball" not the talking point for you guys anymore?

How about just enjoying this little bright spot and we can start pissin and monin when we play Moo State next week?

Nuss cant break off 30 yard runs like Daniels can.

So what’s your point? That Daniels isn’t perfect?

JD is a huge problem for this team. Last night was a fricking joke. No talent whatsoever on the other side of the ball. When the defense is terrible like LSU's, the QB will have to be really good and not just ok. JD limits the offense because he can not handle pressure, throw down field accurately, is afraid to throw down field, takes sacks on 4th down, and is a terrible decision maker. The run game will struggle against decent teams because no one respects his ability to throw. He is not a true dual threat. He showed last week that he has not improved and that doesn't bode well for a 5th year senior.

I'd prefer the QB throw the ball for completions, not try to be the teams leading rusher.

Brian Kelly actually said in the press conference JD needs to do some things better. Whether it translates to personnel decisions if JD is stinking it up against better opponents is yet to be seen

The one thing about Kelly is he said when he got here even after recruiting daniels id that Nussmeier had the most upside of all the QBs. Who knows maybe he wants him to be a little less gunslinger mentality before he’s ready to hand the team over to him. I think Kelly knows he has a star on his hands it’s just a matter of time.

Only got to watch the highlights and couldn’t sit down for the whole game so not sure the play you’re talking about. I’m not someone who thinks Nuss is a god-send over JD. I just watched Nabors point up in the air several times in game 1 after JD smoked the CB in the back, then later on watched FSU pull the safety and give Nabors 1-on-1 because they knew the ball wasn’t going over the CB’s head.

The wide open Lacy had 2-3 defenders within a few yards of the ball. Had they been defenders with SEC speed, then that drive is over. Those games are to practice our deficiencies, and he either didn’t on that play or just can’t. But yea, we scored 72 against Grambling. Playoffs here we come….

I thought JD had a really good game last night. Their D was horrible so it was more like a scrimmage, but he had nice touch on one of the TDs and made some decisive throws. He had 2 drops that I remember. One by Taylor and one by Thomas which could have been a TD with the angle. That would have made him 20/24 passing with 6 TDs without the drops. He had 1-2 passes off and was behind on a bubble screen.

Nuss would have been 6/6 withouth 2 easy drops by Sampson. Both of his drops would have been TDs, but it was the same drive so it would have been only 1 TD. He also threw behind Anderson on a screen, slowing AA's momentum.

Overall, both QBs played well.

They just can’t help it in these qb posts.
It’s every single year we have one black qb and one white qb

Nah, man. Nabers is showcasing his ability to break tackles with JD throwing to him on stop routes.

Who TF is talking about playoffs because of grambling? We scored In every drive except the last one of the game.. y’all are still on here bitching about the offense? They did what they were suppose to do last night. Y’all would be lighting this place up if he struggled, but because he played well it’s grambling.

Take some good with the bad sometimes

The wide open pass to Nabors IN STRIDE and the wide open pass to Sampson that he dropped and the perfect corner shot to Sampson that he dropped...

yeah he threw the screen behind Anderson but JD did that twice per the announcers...

You miss the point that even when JD completes a pass it more often than not causes the receiver to stop or adjust some way that kills the route.

I fully expected JD to put up the numbers he did last night and he will be the starter next week in Mooville. I also expect him to struggle next week too. Arnett may not be the best HC but he is a decent DC and he will be prepared for us.

If you only watched the highlights, don’t comment. BT dropped a deep ball that hit him square in the hands again
