Agreed. If he had like 4 catches for 100 yards and a TD on 5 targets that is likely an aberration.

But the 15 targets is indicative that mcvay sees him as the direct replacement for kupp while he's out.

I agree as well. I think this is different than picking up the Kendrick Bourne types too... those types have been in the league for like 8 years. We know they aren't suddenly elite. Not saying Bourne can't have some value, but you're not getting some emerging superstar.

Is Puka an emerging superstar? I dunno, but I think it's worth a shot. He's a rookie in his first game and had immediate success on heavy volume. I'd rather swing for the fences and be wrong, than to be kicking myself later on that I passed on a league winner.

That’s his real name.

I have no clue how he made it past waivers in my league. I picked him up yesterday morning as a FA.

I am in the same boat. I currently have Godwin on the bench. Puka also barely missed out on two touchdowns that were just slightly overthrown by Stafford.

Godwin on the other hand has a Baker Mayfield problem. Saw an article yesterday that Baker Mayfield knew the coverages the other team was running and told his teammates about their signals at halftime. He threw for 173 yards that game.
