This winter I started doing a short walk at lunch, no more than 20 minutes. I go every weekday unless weather prevents it. My RHR rate is now usually right at 60 or even below.
Other benefits are a nice tan, and this winter I didn’t feel any of the “SAD” that normally gets me due to getting off of work in the dark.
Oh, and my heart rate on the walks averages 100-105, so nothing too fast.
Walking is so underrated.
