Owls are good. They bring you mail, newspapers and can always find you even if you leave for your friends Burrow. Just tip them a couple knuts for the newspaper.

Has a chicken been said? Eggs and lunch if you get tired of it.

The honest answer to this question and the one that you either learn the hard way or the easy way is the birds outside. Get a feeder. You think you want a bird inside but you don’t want a bird inside. Birds don’t belong inside your house. You don’t want a bird inside.

You’re welcome.

They're very demanding. More so than dogs.

If you don’t want to ever worry about your bird flying away get a penguin.

I knew a guy with an African Gray. The damn thing would walk around biting your feet and throwing up on them. It also said the n word a lot and would mimic porn sounds.

Birds are a different kind of pet. They are noisy and messy. They need interaction from their owners, and are not meant to be just ornaments in a cage.

They need fruits and veggies in their diet. Not just seeds and water. Due to the nature of their respiratory system, they are very vulnerable to smoke, aerosol sprays, the use of teflon pans, air freshener dispenser systems, etc. They need to be able to bathe regularly. They need toys to play with for their mental well being.

I have enjoyed mine tremendously over the years. Please read how to properly care for them.

My grandfather had a parakeet. He successfully taught it to talk and everyone could hear what it said but him. The bird was easy to care for and a great companion after his wife died.
