It's been a fraud since Richard Nixon declared the National Champion. Then left an undefeated Auburn out when they had Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown in the backfield, both stars later in the NFL. Chose USC and Oklahoma. Game was 55-19. Auburn beats either one easily.

I wish LSU fans would quit crying about bama making it. They earned it by beating UGA.

So we’re now gonna start picking the teams based how well we think they’ll do? Why did TCU make it last year? Everyone knew someone else would have given Georgia a better game in the championship. Hell according to this logic Bama should have been in last year as well.

That’s not the point

It isn’t about “how your team is right now”

It’s about earning a spot by what you’ve done the entire season

With this rationale why have a season at all?

Have the preseason poll

Have the playoffs

Season over

I mean what is the point?

Eh...we have smaller schools go undefeated...no one care

FSU played 55th rank strength of schedule.

Alabama lost to #3 and beat #1.

I mean, I know lsu fans hate Bama...lords knows they didn't deserve to play LSU in 2011... im still salty about it...

If FSU played Texas and then Georgia...

How do think that goes with Travis?

Imagine being a FSU player or coach who has been busting their butts since the off season. Spending hours in the weight room, hours of film study, hours of practice, and you play a long and exhausting season and at the end of it, you win every game.
But because one player on your team gets hurt, all of your accomplishments are ignored and your chance to play for a National Championship is taken away.
And let’s not kid ourselves, the committee would have invented any criteria it needed to get Bama in the playoffs if possible. Even if that meant changing the criteria last night!

Would a skip Bertman team get left out of a regional if the selections amongst teams were equal ? Everyone sucks off Saban though. I don’t know what kind of power Alabama football has underground but they always get the benefit .

Imagine leaving out the SEC champion. The conference that has ran college football for 25yrs.

When USC wanted to steal the 03' shine, you used the conference.

When LSU backed doored the 07 game with 2 losses, you used the conference.

when bama was SEC runner up and came back and won it all, the conference was just 'built different'.

but now all of a sudden it doesn't matter frickin louisville just lost to the 8th best team in the SEC. The ACC is garbage dude. FSU without Travis has proved to be arse.

The issue I have with this as an LSU fan is that I can easily see us in a similar situation, and an Ohio State or Bama getting the favor over us.

The rationale for keeping FSU out is flawed and illogical. You can’t say that FSU isn’t the same team, and not one of the best 4 teams compared to Bama, but then toss UGA out completely.

If I’m an AD, I’m cancelling any top 25 OOC matchups immediately since they clearly mean nothing. Your best bet is to be undefeated, and hope they don’t screw you with a blue blood.

Not an FSU fan in the slightest, but damn, I feel for them today

Bro, you're missing hte fact that Alabama earned their way to play UGA for the SEC and then beat them...in Georgia. Hate on Auburn DC for playing no pressure on 4th and 31.

I hate the Bama bias as much as anyone but dang man they won the biggest boy game of the year when it matter. UGA had not lost in 3 seasons...think about that for a second...

Saban is 9-0 against #1 ranked teams...

he's the goat for a reason./..he fixes, he bounces back, he wins

13 straight 11 win seasons is insane

I mean frick man, he's doing this in the toughest conference and to be fair, it's considered the toughest conference because he built Bama into a machine winning 6 titles in 16 seasons...played for 8....that's 50%!

one has to tip their hat and give mad respect for that ...

he will retire with in the next 5 seasons, and the game will miss him.

I won't be watching this year. Cheaters and undeserving teams. No thanks.

I realize I'm just one person, but whatever. I'm not going to watch.
