PRESIDIO, TEXAS - Hunting Accident
Sunday, December 3, 2023 - Presidio County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a hunting accident this morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a fifteen year old male who was fatally shot in the chest while preparing rifles to go hunting. The incident occurred several miles North of Presidio in a well known hunting area West of Highway 67. Family members immediately transported the gunshot victim to Marfa in a personal vehicle escorted by Deputies where they met with the Marfa Amblulance which then proceeded to Alpine BBRMC. Despite all efforts, the victim was declared deceased on arrival. The family was on their yearly hunting trip to Presidio County.
Names are not given with respect to the family. The case was referred to Texas Rangers for further investigation.

I saw the the emergency vehicles coming through Alpine and family vehicle following. Heart breaking.
