Thermador column fridge/freezer

What are your thoughts on the column fridge/freezer? Trying to decide if we should go single door fridge up top/freezer on bottom or the column side by side fridge freezer. I’ve only ever had fridge up top freezer on bottom styles.

I prefer the column just because it’s a lot easier to access. IMO things have a tendency to get lost very easily in bottom pull out freezers. The column freezer is just as easy to keep organized as the fridge

I also looked at Bluestar ranges and range tops before going with Thermador. Ultimately decided thermador because of (a) the bundle deal and (b) the sealed top being significantly easier to clean than the open Bluestar top.

I’ll say that this thread is the first time I’ve ever seen an opinion shared that Thermador “isn’t worth the price,” and I’ve spent literally hundreds of hours researching and talking to appliance service providers. To the contrary, the consensus that I’ve come to understand is that Thermador is every bit as good, if not better, than similar brands that are more expensive. To each his own though.
