If you want to ease into something sci fi that's just a little similar to what you've been reading
It's a novella so not much of a commitment, but if you like it there are 6 more. This one is self-contained

All systems red was good but too short for my liking. I was kind of surprised. Probably about 1 hour of reading. I don't think I will continue.
