Florida State said that it shouldn’t matter that they were playing a 2nd string when trying to get into the playoff, but now they say it’s affecting their performance?

Anybody else a bit surprised FSU's opt outs didn't care about beating Georgia?
It really would of really made the season memorable. Instead of playing one more game they stand on the sideline watching they're undefeated team get smacked 42-3 at half.
