Please tell us more about your husband so that we might better understand what makes him such a great candidate for LSU DC when he was let go from his ideal job as DC at his alma mater and he is currently employed as an analyst at Illinois.

Dears Mrs Minimal,

He was not let go. Luke offered him the D.C. job and he turned it down. He was passed over as the h.c.

He decided to have hip surgery and took the analysis position with his whisky bud, Bert.

He has been the top d.c. in the country for a number of years. He replaced Aranda at Whisky. Aranda worked out well enough to win a n.c. At lsu.

Is there anything else I can help your ignorant arse out with concerning my husband?

Apparently he doesn’t want to leave the Midwest as well. I’m sure money could change that but that’s what’s often said.

A lot of his concepts are Aranda-esque. I think LSU needs to go after a 4-3 guy anyway.

ETA: I do think he’d be the best DC available to get and I think he’d do very well at LSU but his future is in the NFL. LSU will get killed in DL recruiting with Leonhard as DC.

I love how this lie is continually passed around.

One of Fick's first hires, if not his first, was Tressel for DC.

He met with Leonhard, AFTER having hired his DC, and offered a "Co-DC" position or some such that everyone with a brain knew he wouldn't take, including Fick. The offer was only made because so many in the fanbase were screaming about Jimmy leaving.

Leonhard wasn't staying after getting passed over for HC.

eta-He doesn't like to recruit and isn't great at it. Did you see how slow UW's LBs were in the bowl game? Those are the LBs his regime left behind. (We've taken 5 in the portal so far.)

And his defensive rankings were helped by Chryst's sit on the ball style of offense. Much like Iowa.

He's a good DC, but I don't think he's the best out there by any means. Not in college anyway. Would like to see what he can do in the pros.
