This Board has an unhealthy infactuation with bitching about teachers. Clearly half this board are HS kids.

I don’t have an issue with taking a full day for inclement weather. They have to make the day up. The half day shite pisses me off, because all they have to do to count the day as attended is go long enough to serve lunch. So they’re getting a half day off with a full days pay, and they know it’s all bullshite.

Don’t forget countless hours of lesson planning, grading assignments, RTI nonsense, endless meetings either after school, on weekends, and holiday time.

Bunch of bullshite. My brother taught HS and he almost never worked at home. But when he had downtime at school he was grading or planning. He wasn't gossiping.

I’m supposed to drive to the St Louis area on Sunday to work there early next week. Might be my first experience under 0 degrees.

We had some bad rain overnight in St Bernard but nothing too crazy.

School was open today as normal.

Kids school had over 30% absences today.

Plenty of kids complained that they got little sleep last night and parents kept them home.

This was after yesterday, when because it was announced school would close early, about half the kids didn't bother to attend.

Don't blame all the problems on the teachers... parents suck too.

Would one of our weather folks be so kind to start a weather thread about this?
We can change the subject of this one to the school closures and teacher discussion.
