I'm guessing that Bradley Cooper was thinking, "Man, I just need to beat Cillian Murphy." Then he saw Giamatti in The Holdovers and exhale-moaned, "Mother fricker."

Maestro was fine but total Oscar Bait.. I preferred DiCaprio's performance to Cooper, Damon in Air may have been better as well

Is the Bear a comedy? I may need to rewatch it.

I haven’t seen Barbie but I was also wondering how much stunt work was necessary

O come on, The dude was in like 2 1/4 episodes for the entire season. He should not be on there.

Does Jeremy Strong - "Succession" get snubbed bc he is just not well-liked by the Hollywood community?

Just looking it up, he's actually been nominated and won at every major award ceremony for his role in Succession. He won the SAG in this category in 2022.
Which is surprising to me, because I think his acting is pretty awful in Succession. The over acting is just too much for me and he's not good at all in emotional scenes/trying to cry. The fact that I disliked his character in general made it worse. That being said, he 100% should have been nominated over Brian Cox (who I think is a better actor and character in this show) solely based on screen time alone. I mean Brian Cox was barely a part of the final season.

He’s already played a slow person way better

Macfadyen is much better. Nice to see him get the nomination after winning for the supporting actor GG.

I could see Da’Vine Joy Randolph winning this. Her and Paul Giamatti both were excellent.

For film, I’m thinking only Best Actor is competitive.
I think Gladstone, RDJ, and Randolph have the other categories locked up.
