While I feel that way in my heart, I bet Georgia money line…. Actually I horsed them. And when we yet again didn’t get the rebound on defense, I was pissed! I’d rather lose money and watch lsu win!

Collins has been trying to get healthy.

You want derek fountain or jalen Reed to play f*cking center????? Lmao.

You are either disingenuous or basketball retarded. FWIW I usually like you as a football poster.

According to coach Collins has been ready since the start of conference play. Of course that story always changes depending on whether coach needs to make an excuse or if he’s looking to create some hype. And any of them can play center and all have depending on the match up. Thats the point of highlighting that we have 5 of them you water head.

Idk what the deal is with Collins, I don’t.
I know Dean is stronger than Baker.

I assume Fountain must be a poor option at this point judging by his minutes, and I’ve seen Reed play — he can barely hold his own at forward. My point is we don’t have a strong post player. Lanky ones yes.

Physical ones, no.
Literally not a single guy.

I refuse to believe that is by design, and I think it’s highly likely that situation improves next year. I’m not gonna sit here & beat a dead horse, I think I’ve made my position clear.

Robert Miller + transfers should see our frontcourt depth improve

Call me when he teaches them how to rebound

I said Angle Reese needed to give a tutorial and I got down voted. The guys just stand around and assume the basket will be made. IMO

He recruited them and rebounding is far from the only fundamental aspect of the game this program has lacked the last 2 seasons.

Corey Chest is likely our best rebounder but McGenius redshirted him.

We don't have a player that can rebound. You can't teach spatial awareness and make someone grow 5 inches and 50 pounds.

Y'all complain incessantly when Baker plays, so we don't have a lot of options. Ole Miss and Georgia have massive guys in the middle that we couldn't match

Chest would likely be our best rebounder but McMahon chose to redshirt him. Not tall, but extremely physical and athletic.

Dean isn't great, but he's much better than Baker. Collins is too. Would prefer Baker getting 0 minutes unless he can score 15+ points exploiting a matchup.

I just want to point out I was the only person to upvote your Robert Miller comment. Miller + Chest would be a pretty exciting frontcourt.

Did we really ever have high expectations for this year? I just want to see if he can keep this locker room together through coming gauntlet & then hopefully… get an opportunity to see what we look like under McMahon with a complete team.

I think he’s a really good coach, and I think he could win big here. But in fairness, if he loses the locker room (or Chest/Miller) he’ll find himself running out of rope quick in 2025.

Here’s to hoping that’s not how this plays out.

well yes in the sense that every player has to be re-recruited every year. but in another, more accurate sense, Wilkinson is a wade recruit

That may be true but our circumstances were different. Pending sanctions really hurt us.

I would agree, Dean is not a great rebounder but he's a better rebounder than Baker from what I've seen all year. Collins....I haven't seen enough of him this year to say, but he's very slight, I don't think he's holding off that big guy at the end either.

This season has been surprisingly entertaining to watch but we still have a long way to go before we become relevant again in Basketball.

Fair question.

Despite the talent drop off:
1. His teams have come out the gate in conference play with consistently better defensive effort
2. Offensive sets & designed plays, Xs/Os if you will — it hasn’t been consistent but I have seen flashes of beautiful ball movement leading to good looks. With Wade we mostly just out-athleted teams / ran a lot of ISO / Waters making string music from fkn half court.

So… if he can get players like Wade got… it’s enough to get you thinking.

The ONLY thing I don’t like about McMahon is the shadow suspensions. I may be reading into this too much — but you want a coach to have a positive relationship with his team moreso than an authoritative one.
