Tough loss tonight to lakeshore on a shite call at home in the bottom of the 8th. Also lakeshore has the trashiest damn fan base I have ever been around talking shite to players during game and starting shite in stands I can understand why they got their coach that led them to the finals last year fired.

Mandeville and it was a called out at Home plate but we went back and looked at slow mo footage and it was the correct call. Such a tough loss though.

Hard to tell from the video on the safe/out call, even at slow speed. It jumps to a wide view during the play, if it had stayed close view the entire play it would have been better.

Lakeshore has always been a trash talking school. Almost like the westbank moved to that part of mandeville after Katrina.

I went back and looked frame for frame and he was actually safe. Catcher had ball and blocked plate after the Collison the runner slide through and touched the plate. it was after runner touched the plate when catcher actually tagged him. bang bang play either way that's baseball.

A. I think he’s safe regardless
B. Did the catcher not block the plate without the ball? Isn’t that an automatic obstruction call and the runner is safe?

Catcher cannot be in the base path without possession of the ball, nor can the catcher be in the base path waiting for a ball to arrive without giving the runner some access to home plate. Rule 8.3.2
