What kind of predator call are you using?
My son has been begging me to take him coyote hunting.

I use a Lucky Duck Super Revolt

The Revolt or Roughneck are cheaper options

I hunt pretty close from there often. Happy to travel if you have coyote/pig problems.

That's awesome. I have a Thunder Chicken as well and I have a lot of fun with it.

I caved yesterday on paying for my stepdaughter to study abroad this summer, so my wife is letting me buy a thermal scope. I'm not going to go that high dollar, but high enough to have her think wtf.

They look too much like dogs for me to enjoy killing them

Has anyone read that killing them actually increases populations because their hormones increase and they have more pups in the litters?

I would love the idea of keeping coyote numbers low on my land but I want to be sure it doesn’t make things worse. I have the full set up to hunt them but haven’t ever “pulled the trigger” because I haven’t found a definitive answer on if it helps or hurts.

That's a common thought but it's not really true. A coyote can't say well none of my friends are no longer around so hormonaly ill change to have more babies.
What actually happens is the surviving coyotes are more healthy due to less pressure on the food and den sources. In turn they have stronger litters.

If you consistently hunt and kill them faster than they reproduce you will not have more coyotes, I promise.
