A jar of peanut butter is 9 dollars that’s crazy.

The thing I hate about inflation numbers is that they exclude Groceries and Energy. I'd like to see the numbers with everything included.
The reasoning is simple, the govt, and Im serious, the govt reasoning is that those two categories are too volatile to measure true inflation.
Course I thought inflation WAS the volatile movement of pricing, but what do I know.
The other issue, well its only 5%, yeah on top of the last two years at 10%, so if you havent increased your income by 25% in the last two years and a month, you are underwater, and you will never catch up as the govt lets "acceptable" rates of inflation to continue.

While I agree with the general premise people should also not be living on the edge. They should plan to be conservatively below what they can afford. It is another cultural issue in the US. Why does everything have to be top of the line, like a luxury apartment or luxury/electric car.

colonel,
I agree, so what category would you put the govt in. They arent on the edge, they are 32 trillion in debt, still overspending by trillions, and wasting 100s of billions annually on nonsense, while the baby has no formula nor diapers.

You feel like you got your moneys worth out of that gender studies money he sent to Pakistan?
Still bitter about not being accepted huh?
Seriously though, Trump should have vetoed that nonsense.
Would he have been overridden?
Probably.
The PPP money was going to happen with or without his consent.
I would suggest that’s why he requested more. If Congress is hell bent on doling out cash (and they were), then he wanted the middle class to get more than some crumbs.
However, at the end of the day, he didn’t make them override his veto.
As such, he deserves criticism for that.

There are graphs out there that include food and energy.
Saw one today on the Sunday recap of War Room.

The issue wasn’t as pronounced between 2016-2019.
That was sandwiched between two vertical spikes by your boys.
