Lot of high-level discussions about championship playoff structure. Have even heard possibility of 14 teams. I know I am being a dinosaur, but I liked the way that the rivalry games were most important. The new setup to me seems to lessen the importance of the season matchup. Afraid they are going to become a means to an end, that is a ticket to the playoff. Only good thing is there will be lot more games to watch. Am I wrong in thinking this?

Im down for more high level matchups. I dont get tired of watching top teams play each other.

More is good.

Unless the game is significantly changed to the point of it becoming flag football, it will not go past 16 teams. There is too much wear and tear on the body. Even the NFL, after all of its expansion and wild card additions is still at 14 teams.

I thought the NFL season with 12 total playoff teams and 4 byes was pretty damn solid. I hope college football sticks with 12 for at least a few years before moving to 14 or 16. Without homefield in every round, the bye is the one thing left that protects the value of the regular season.

CFB has got to be the only sport where people don't want more of it

No?

14 teams =\= 64

The only reason they would move to 14 is because of NFL set up. You only have two byes & 6 games in 1st round instead of four byes
