First, the ever-accurate up vs down vote count seems to be at odds with your assertion.

Second, while I didn’t expand on my comment, one could reasonably infer that I was pointing out the overly technical description used in Obtuse1’s story. It comes across as “I’m a pompous know-it-all” and not relatable.

He could have told the story using layman’s terms, thus increasing the relatability of the information to the question posed by the OP. The question posed was obviously meant to be “would you, average / ordinary / inexperienced OT poster, stand on this hard-to-reach and dangerous ledge for an hour if offered $1 million?”

Perhaps the reply Obtuse gave would be more appropriate on the Outdoor board?
