Bringing in three Atlanta friends for Jazz Fest. Looking for great food and a festive/fun atmosphere for dinner one night.

We’re all in our upper 20s/early 30s. Which place would y’all go with? TIA

I'm big on Brigtsen's.

Intimate restaurant in an old house converted into a restaurant and the food is top notch.

Clancy's is the most "festive/fun" of those three. I'd put all three at about the same general level food-wise, with Gautreau's being a bit more refined, Brightsen's a bit more rustic, and Clancy's sort of in between.

I would probably pick Clancy’s or Brightsens for what you seem to be looking for.
Go ahead and make your reservations now.

I'm not sure what your definition of "festive/fun atmosphere" is.

Of the 3, Clancy's is the loudest at least downstairs. I've never eaten upstairs.

I'm a Brigsten's fan and I'd say it's in between the other two. It's not raucous.

I haven't been to Gautreau's in some years, but it was pretty quiet the times I've eaten there.

Can’t go wrong with any of them. Clancy’s is one of my favorites. Very good food, great wine list and bar service. Great atmosphere. Brigsten’s has food that is as good or better, but bar service and wine list is below average. Bad actually for a restaurant of its caliber. Gautreau’s is excellent, but more quiet and sedate. Someone check me on this, but didn’t it recently change ownership?

Three great places. You can’t go wrong with any of them. And they are off the beaten tourist path.

Is it still cool to hate on Jacque imo’s? It’s festive, fun and I always liked it. Have not been there in a while though

I think there are more appealing choices for your demographic.

Why those

Just did a guys' night out upstairs at Clancy's 3 weeks ago. We had 17 guys in their late 30s. They had us at 2 big round tables in the first room to the left upstairs. Service was great for that size party, and food was excellent. The whole restaurant was popping that night.

Brigtsen's is great, but Frank turned me off with his political theater during covid. Food is top notch, though. Not as lively as Clancy's, but not quiet either. I agree with everyone else's comments about the 3. I would choose either Clancy's or Brigtsen's.

Clancy’s is my favorite restaurant

You don’t want to dine anywhere near mid city? The places will probably be packed
