Kayak fishing in those areas is some of the best kayak fishing you can do. However, you are limited by your lack of range, so the kayak spots are all the kayak spots. Here are some of my old ones.
Hopedale Marina
Launch out of the kayak launch at Hopedale marina and head south to the spoil canal and then into the canal that branches off of the spoil canal. Spend all day in those little coves and the bayou connecting them. You'll come across some eventually.
Pips
I would say only do this if you have a pedal kayak but a buddy of mine did this with only a paddle. Launch at pips, head into Hopedale lagoon. Explore it, you'll find fish eventually.
Campos
Launch campos and head into the old Shell Beach marsh.
Anywhere on the road to Delacroix
Combat launch and go anywhere you see clean water.
Kayak fishing has its own unique flair. I do miss it sometimes, but it is about the grind and working and working. All of these spots (except the Hopedale spot) you'll probably find a lot of privacy. That enables you to work locations very thoroughly.
Good luck man.
