I really enjoyed the show, but you cannot expect a show geared to 40+ year old guys using a 30+ year old story to have mass appeal. Kids were always the market for animation and comics -- especially young boys. Once, creators lost sight of that, everything went to shite and even good products failed. This show was written for old nerds like me, and I am thankful it exists. But we are a small niche and not big enough to make a show a success on our own/ At some point, you have to dumb things down a little and jangle some keys to get the mass appeal needed in such a crowded marketplace. Just reality I guess.


In what world are you living in? 43 year old men like myself have children, 11 year old son to be exact and he loved this show. He hasn’t watched any of the X-Men movies yet, but he loves the Marvel Universe. This opened up an 11 year old kid to the X-Men and I’m pretty sure that was the goal.
