Starting to feel like some gas lighting was done when Jay said we were hitting .300 as a team. Now that I think about it it’s starting to feel like some gas lighting was done when we were told pitching would carry this team.

Now our fans know how other teams felt about Crews and Skenes last year (glad when he’ll be gone) because of Cags.
Granted, I’ll be glad when he’s gone too, but thankful he gave us the melt pitching performance in game 3 of 2023 CWS final

I think it’s more a lack of production at the plate than anything. Starting pitching has been solid but some of the bullpen decisions are questionable and lack of run support puts a load of pressure on the pitchers. It’s a bad recipe. LSU is going to have to find a way to win 4 or 5 of the next 9 games. You can’t go 3-7 in the next 3 series. That’s leaves with you 5 conference wins half way through SEC play. With only 15 remaining games left your in an uphill battle.

Just checking in to say I watched the Avs win their 9th straight game instead and won't even watch the baseball highlights. Ignorance is bliss. I'm just going to stick with my 20-10 prediction and cross my fingers.

At this point, I’ll be happy if we just get in someone else’s regional as a 2 or even 3 seed last team in field (ole miss 2022). We could get hot a la Fresno State years ago, Coastal Carolina a few years ago (at our expense) before they were a known commodity, and ole miss 2022

But yes, tRant is notorious for overreactions. Do you remember the meltdowns last season?
For sure there is reason for concern, but it's still March baseball. Stating I hope we can make the NCAAT in someone else's regional is the epitome of an overreaction.

That is a decent question. We'll know a lot more in about 4-5 weeks IMO.
Again, I'm not sunshine pumping. I'm just taking a wait and see approach instead of declaring the season over.
However, we had dudes giving up on last years team in early-mid May last season.
